The buttons are sized and placed well for one handed operation. Th speaker is on the top backside of the unit, an odd placement IMHO. The power/USB port is on the bottom while the headphone jack is on the top. This is a bit annoying if you have both connected. Be sure to buy a few extra styli. The processor is quite fast, faster than my wife's laptop, and I have not had to do soft reset more than once. I am in the med-field. Loaded the Ipaq with skyscape products works brilliantly. I am very satisfied. The battery life is not great when doing heavy processing. Wi-Fi will run the battery down in about three hours. Download the webpage and turn off the Wi-Fi. ...more

Most people complain about short battery life - yes, but this depends on two things: the 3G/HDSPA burns energy like a semi the gas. Raise the timeframe to check for emails. But that is not the worst battery killer: it is the screen! Make sure, the screend turns off and not just dimms. This is not turned on by factory default. Nobody around here stocks them anymore.... (I really depend on this thing.) After checking a couple of big box stores and finding nothing, I tried Amazon. (Amazon is my #1 source for books....
